This is a first for me from this brand, a sister company from the group that brings us YANKEE CANDLE®.It was hard to light the X-shaped wick the first time, then it was a bit wild, so I quickly had to adjust the height of the wick as advised in the enclosed instructions, once it had cooled down.When lit, it is a nicely subdued ‘posh tea’ fragrance that dominates, to my nose, and scents the whole room.The ‘crackling’ from the wood-wick is soothing to me, taking me back in time to toast and marshmallows by the fire after a cool evening walk.If any of the wick breaks away when lit, there can be a bit of swirly smoke, as also happens when the flame is extinguished (image below refers), although, I find, that the smoke soon disperses.To prevent too deep a well developing, I tend to gently circle the jar at an angle when the wax is still liquid (& the flame is out).
